Katie recently completed graduate studies at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and is currently pursuing a Professional Studies Diploma in Trombone Performance at SFCM while studying with Mark Lawrence, former principal of the San Francisco Symphony.

Katie has worked with several orchestras, including the Lawrence Symphony Orchestra, San Francisco Conservatory Orchestra, and several local Northern California groups. Katie is an avid chamber music fan and has performed with the Fanfare Brass Quintet (Appleton, Wisconsin).

Equally at home in the jazz world, Katie played with the Party Gras Dixieland Band, and has recorded with the Lawrence University Jazz Ensemble on their album, "Witnesses," winner of Downbeat Magazine's 2007 Outstanding Performance Award. Katie can also be heard on an upcoming Naxos recording of Kreutzer's 19th Violin Concerto with the San Francisco Conservatory Chamber Orchestra.
